ONCE UPON A TIME...

Sticks and Stones Studio was an art and fine craft furniture known for the FUN, FUNky, FUNctional furniture designed by Wayne Cordrey. It was located outside the little town of White Salmon on the north shore of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. With retail outlets in both White Salmon, Washington and Hood River, Oregon, the company began operations in 1998.

The company's signature was colorwashed pine furniture though it produced other types as well. Among customer favorites was a line of cedar benches, fancy garden gates, and decorative garden art. Their "Adirondacks with Attitude" gained much popularity and were featured in Oregon Home Magazine.

Fine art was also a large part of the Sticks and Stones
repertoire. The company produced a line of greeting cards and prints featuring Katie Cordrey's watercolor art. At it's peak, Sticks and Stones represented more than 60 regional and local artists and artisans in its retail space.

Other services included graphic design and print brokering as well as accounting and business presentations geared to those in micro-business and the creative arts.

The Cordreys closed Sticks and Stones Studio at the end of 2010 though they continue to offer some graphic and business services through iByte Company which they started in 2011.
